Zotero Workshop for Advanced Users In-Person

This workshop is designed specifically for users who are already familiar with the basics of Zotero and would like to learn more about its advanced features. Participants will learn how to:

  • Best organize libraries with folders and/or tagging, including color coded tags. Specific examples from Zotero users will be discussed.
  • Format citations and bibliographies into Microsoft Word.

Participants should come to the workshop with Zotero installed, a registered account with zotero.org, and with knowledge of importing citations. Other basic features that will not be covered in this workshop are available through the Zotero online tutorial: http://libguides.lib.msu.edu/c.php?g=439667&p=2996227.

The first part of class will cover any problems with installation or questions about the installation process, registering, or importing of citations. The second part will cover the advanced features portion, and the last part of class will be time for additional troubleshooting questions.

There are no computers in the instruction room so please bring your laptops.
