Muslim Journeys Book Club 2016-2017 In-Person

Join us for a new Muslim Journeys scholar-led book discussion series in 2016-2017, focusing on Islam in the U.S. and on Muslim American literature. Four sessions will be held In Spring 2017, on Wednesday evenings from late January through mid-March. In a "sneak peek" session this fall, we will be reading Thomas Jefferson’s Qur’an: Islam and the Founders by historian Denise A. Spellberg. Lecture and discussion by Salah Hassan, associate professor of English and Muslim Studies. Free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged but not required. The book is "on reserve” at the MSU Main Library Circulation Desk and can be ordered through MelCat free interlibrary loan, and available for purchase locally at Schuler’s and Everybody Reads.
