Beal Botanical Garden Tour: Spring Edible Wild Plants

Tours begin near the shed in the garden.  In case of severe weather, join us for a virtual tour of the garden in the Main Library's Reference Instruction Room (first floor).

Join Beal Botanical Garden assistant curator Peter Carrington in a tour of the W. J. Beal Botanical Garden to look at the many early spring plants, some of which qualify as weeds for most of us, that make delicious early spring vegetables for the table.  Most yards and virtually all weed patches offer something interesting to eat (if they haven't been poisoned with 'weed killers').  We will examine their nutritional contributions and examine poisonous look-a-likes.
