Beal Botanical Garden Tour: Understanding the APG and the Recent Changes to Plant Classification
Tours begin near the shed in the garden. In case of severe weather, join us for a virtual tour of the garden in the Main Library's Beal Classroom (3rd floor west).
Why are there no more specifically maple or milkweed plant families? Join Beal Botanical Garden assistant curator Peter Carrington in a tour of the W. J. Beal Botanical Garden to look at the changes to the arrangement of plant families made by the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group (APG); why they are important, and why a massive reorganization like this will probably not happen again.
