Teaching critical thinking in the age of Gen AI ***Walk-ins Welcome*** In-Person / Online
Critical thinking is an essential skill that can be difficult to teach. As generative AI is disrupting traditional ways of instruction, why not use it to prompt critical thinking? In this hands-on session, participants will translate key dimensions of critical thinking into concrete learning objectives for their courses and explore a variety of instructional strategies that foster critical thinking with and about gen AI tools.
Upon completion of this learning experience, participants will be able to:
- define critical thinking in the context of your discipline
- articulate learning outcomes related to critical thinking for your courses
- leverage generative AI tools to get students thinking critically about and with AI.
