Disability Dynamics: Theory, Accessibility and Practice at MSU Online
This learning community will explore topics related to disability based on the work of prominent disability scholars and activists. Members will read or view material to prepare to discuss in meetings.
Fall semester will focus on “Black Disability Politics” by Dr. Sami Schalk. Copies of the book will be provided for members of the LC. Topics for the spring semester will be determined and facilitated by the group.
Monthly virtual meetings will be held at noon on the Tuesdays below:
Sept. 15, Oct. 2*, Nov. 17, Dec. 15, Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, and April 13
*October’s meeting will be to attend Dr. Sami Schalk’s keynote at the MSU Disability Summit.
