Convening Hope Circuits: A Learning Community for Human Flourishing Online
In an era of fragmentation and systemic strain, teaching and learning demand more than individual resilience—they require collective imagination. This virtual learning community is designed to hold space for educators as learners by cultivating the shared vocabulary and relational trust needed to help educational communities thrive.
Using Hope Circuits: Rewiring Universities and Other Organizations for Human Flourishing as the foundational text, this monthly gathering aims to function as a collaborative space to engage in "critical hope". Together, we'll hold space to rewire mindsets, design for joy, and foster deep, authentic connection.
Through low-pressure reflections and collective sense-making, the community explores how to dismantle scarcity thinking and cultivate abundance within educational roles. Monthly conversations center on:
- Deep Connection & Relational Trust: Gathering to build an ecosystem of mutual support, moving from professional isolation toward a generative community.
- Designing for Joy: Reclaiming purpose, wonder, and meaning within the unique rhythms and challenges of academic life.
- Activating Hope Circuits: Utilizing practical conceptual tools to bridge the gaps between personal values and daily institutional realities.
We aim to expand internal capacity for human flourishing, and with this community, we aim to naturally illuminate pathways for building inclusive, hope-filled learning environments for students.
Please note: this learning community will meet via Zoom from 11am-11:45am every third Tuesday starting on September 15th (with a break during the winter holiday):
