Mental Health First Aid for Higher Education In-Person

Help prevent mental health and substance use challenges commonly experienced in higher education settings. Developed by people with lived experience of mental health challenges and professionals, this course teaches early intervention techniques and improves mental health literacy to help you understand, identify, and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges.

DID YOU KNOW: (according to statistics from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing)

  • 88% of college students reported their school life to be stressful
  • 60% of college students met the criteria for at least one mental health challenge
  • 33% of people who drop out cite mental health reasons
  • 40% of faculty don’t feel prepared to talk to students about mental health
  • 1/2 of college students followed from freshman to junior year met criteria for at least one substance use challenge during that time

CTLI is excited to host the Hope Network to facilitate this engaging training program. Helping educators decrease stigma, address tough challenges, and allow students, instructors, and peer educators to show up fully in their daily lives and support those around them.

Space is limited, please only register if you can commit to this full-day training. For all registrants, a module will be sent by the Hope Network with a small amount of pre-work to complete before the live training. Registration will close one week before the event date.
