Providing Helpful Assessment Feedback to Students while Managing Time

Providing Helpful Assessment Feedback to Students while Managing Time In-Person / Online

In this workshop, you will explore strategies for providing students with feedback that not only enhances their learning but also helps manage your grading time demands. We will discuss how intentional, elaborative feedback—especially for multiple-choice questions (MCQs)—can deepen student understanding and how to differentiate between higher-order and lower-order concerns when providing written feedback on assignments. You will also be introduced to educational technology tools and assessment strategies that aim to help streamline the grading process. By the end of this session, you’ll have practical strategies to support your students’ growth while balancing your workload.
