Moved to Asynchronous: Inclusive Pedagogy Article of the Month Discussion In-Person

This event was moved to asynchronous discussion due to low registration.

This learning community occurs generally on the last Thursday of every month virtually. We welcome first-timers and recurring folks.

This recurring event is designed to facilitate professional development for any educator interested in inclusive pedagogy. One week prior to the session, the facilitator will send out that month’s article(s) of the month (total under 40 pages). This month's reading is Lopez-Littleton and Kombe's "Racial Trauma: Dismantling Anti-Black Racism in Classrooms and Academia" (also attached to event). During the session, there will be a facilitated discussion.

This event is intended for any educator at Michigan State University. It is designed for educators new to the conversation and experienced, as the work toward inclusivity is always on-going.

Upon completion of this learning experience participants will be able to:

  • Reflect on inclusive pedagogy in praxis
  • Create next steps for their own pedagogical practices using the reading(s) and discussion
