Writing Your Teaching Philosophy: From Beliefs to Impact ***Walk-ins Welcome*** In-Person / Online

Whether you are reflecting on your teaching or writing a teaching philosophy statement for promotion, this interactive session is for you! You will have the opportunity to go through the steps of drafting an authentic and persuasive teaching philosophy: You will explore what matters to you as an educator, articulate your approach, and draw on examples from your teaching practice. The resulting draft can serve as the basis for enhancing your teaching, preparing for performance reviews, and applying for promotions and awards.

Upon completion of this learning experience, participants will be able to:

  • identify your core teaching values and beliefs
  • connect those values to concrete teaching practices and evidence of impact
  • express their educator identity with confidence.
