Quality Matters: Design Your Own Course - FALL LAUNCH Online
Join CTLI facilitators for the two week, asynchronous Designing Your Online Course workshop, starting on October 9, 2023 (concluding on October 27)!
The Designing Your Online Course (DYOC) workshop includes an overview of the QM Rubric and provides a framework for participants to design an online course plan. An integral element of the workshop is an exploration of the eight General Standards of the QM Rubric, focusing on learning objectives and overall course alignment. Participants will complete a Course Development Plan. The plan includes all of the essential Specific Review Standards (SRS) with space for how the participant will meet the SRS in their course and what resources they will need.
Upon completion of this learning experience participants will be able to:
- Identify the origin and scope of Quality Matters.
- Apply the essential QM Rubric Specific Review Standards to online course design.
- Discuss the structure to be used for organizing your online course.
- Create a course plan for developing your online course.
- Align one module for development.
Bring your online course to this workshop and get a framework for developing an online course plan. You'll use a framework and explore the QM Rubric to design one module for your online course.
Format:
Two weeks of asynchronous online work with a facilitator and peer interactions. 8-10 hours per week of contact and activities.
This section runs October 9, 2023 through October 27, 2023. (Please note: CTLI currently runs Quality Matters programs once each term: Fall, Spring, and Summer)
Recommended For:

What Participants Need:
A specific course you plan to develop for online delivery, and 8 to 10 hours of time per week to spend on achieving the learning objectives.
All registrants for CTLI Fall Quality Matters experiences (DYOC & IYOC) will be invited to also join the QM Course Kickoff on October 6, 2023 from 2-3pm, where CTLI facilitators will review course expectations, course layout, and documents to help registered participants be ready to hit the ground running.
