ULA 2026 Call for Meeting In-Person
Please join ULA@State, MSU’s community focused on Undergraduate Learning Assistants (ULAs), for a campus-wide conversation about the future directions and support for ULAs. We will meet in the Generator Room (2110) of the STEM Building on October 1, 12:30-1:30pm.
Across campus, ULAs are supporting MSU's educational mission in a variety of ways. As this work continues to grow, we want to bring together those involved, either individual educators or coordinators of ULA programs to reflect on what we have learned and help determine what comes next.
During this session, we will share brief updates on current ULA@State efforts and resources, including the Teams community, shared materials, opportunities for ULAs to receive course credit, and centralized training.
Most of our time will be spent in small-group conversations exploring questions like the following:
- What is currently happening with ULAs in your unit, and what is working well?
- What challenges or barriers are programs encountering?
- What should the goals and priorities of ULA@State be moving forward?
- What would faculty, staff, students, and programs find valuable from a campus-wide ULA community?
- What opportunities could a more centralized ULA@State structure provide for training, pedagogy, research, assessment, and student development?
- Who else should be part of this growing ecosystem?
Whether you currently work with ULAs, support programs that use them, or see potential connections to your work, we invite you to join the conversation and help shape the next phase of ULA@State.
