Educator Campfire Stories

Educator Campfire Stories Online

Step into the flickering glow of our "Campfire Stories” inspired Educator sharing session, a one-hour gathering designed to ignite your creativity and spark a sense of community among fellow educators. Just like a campfire where stories come to life, this session aims to kindle the flames of inspiration through the power of shared experiences and pedagogical anecdotes.

Imagine an intimate circle of passionate educators, nestled in a cozy virtual space. Throughout the hour, we’ll hear stories on a particular theme or topic from pre-determined volunteer educators, then participants will have the opportunity to share their own stories. Whether it's a tale of a breakthrough moment, a hilarious classroom mishap, or a touching student interaction, your stories will provide a moment of reflection and inspiration, reminding us all why we embarked on this journey of education.

Our Campfire Stories session goes beyond the typical professional development format. It taps into the rich tradition of storytelling, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie that transcends the digital divide. Here, it's not just about lesson plans and techniques – it's about the heart and soul you infuse into your teaching.

So gather 'round the virtual campfire and bring your best stories to share. Let's celebrate the magic that happens in our classrooms, honor the challenges we've conquered, and leave this session with hearts full of warmth and minds brimming with fresh ideas. Get ready to be captivated, motivated, and re-energized as we stoke the fires of creativity and connection in the MSU ecosystem of teaching & learning.

Upon completion of this learning experience participants will have:

  • actively contributed to the creation of a collaborative educator community. They will have experienced firsthand the power of shared stories to build connections, empathy, and a sense of unity among peers, fostering an environment of ongoing support and idea exchange beyond the session itself

Come with an open mind and heart.

This is a recurring offering happening every other month, throughout the academic year. The subsequent date in the Fall Semester is December 1, 2023 from 10:30-11:45am.
