Transforming Clinical Training with Virtual Reality: A Campus-Wide Opportunity Online
This presentation showcases the integration of Oxford Medical Simulation's virtual reality (VR) platform within the College of Nursing at Michigan State University. By leveraging immersive, scenario-based VR simulations, our nursing students are gaining hands-on clinical experience in a safe, controlled environment that enhances critical thinking, decision-making, and confidence before entering real-world clinical settings.
Beyond its impact on nursing education, this VR platform is a valuable resource for interdisciplinary training across campus. We’ll highlight how the technology works, its measurable benefits, and how other departments and units at MSU can collaborate or gain access to the platform to enrich their own teaching and learning practices.
