Symposium on Reparative Language for Library Cataloging 2026 In-Person

Friday, May 15 — 9 am - 4 pm  — MSU Main Library

The MSU Libraries are excited to offer another free symposium on reparative language in library cataloging. Our theme this year is enhancements to subject access.

Our two keynote speakers are both doing significant work in this area: Violet Fox, founder of Cataloging Lab, and B.M. Watson of Western University, member of the editorial board of Homosaurus

We're also pleased to open a call for lightning talks! Share the reparative description work being done in your library. Propose your lightning talk here

Last year's event was fully booked, with attendees from all types of libraries throughout Michigan and beyond. Use the Registration button below to reserve your seat now!
