Quality Matters: Improve Your Online Course - FALL LAUNCH Online
Join CTLI facilitators for the two week, asynchronous Improve Your Online Course workshop, starting on October 9, 2023 (concluding on October 27)!
The Improving Your Online Course (IYOC) workshop explores the QM Rubric and provides a framework to improve the quality of online courses. Participants use the QM Rubric to review their own online courses and develop a course improvement plan.
The content is based on the essential Specific Review Standards of the Quality Matters Rubric. Participants come away with a plan for course improvement. Having a pre-developed online course is required for this workshop.
Upon completion of this learning experience participants will be able to:
- Identify the origin and scope of Quality Matters.
- Apply the essential Specific Review Standards of the Quality Matters Rubric to your own online course.
- Describe the alignment of at least one module/unit in your online course.
- Prioritize improvements to your online course.
Format:
Three weeks of asynchronous online work with a facilitator and peer interactions. 8-10 hours per week of contact and activities.
This section runs October 9, 2023 through October 27, 2023.

What Participants Need:
Participants must have an existing online course that they wish to improve.
All registrants for CTLI Fall Quality Matters experiences (DYOC & IYOC) will be invited to also join the QM Course Kickoff on October 6, 2023 from 2-3pm, where CTLI facilitators will review course expectations, course layout, and documents to help registered participants be ready to hit the ground running.
