IMPLAN Orientation and Panel

IMPLAN Orientation and Panel Online

IMPLAN Cloud, the world’s leading economic impact analysis software, combines data and analytics to empower greater understanding of your economic impact. Together, the software and robust data can help you gain insight into your region's of study — like one gigantic transaction log for the local economy. It can reveal an industry’s regional contributions, quantify the impact of a shock to an economy, examine the effects of a new or existing business, model the impacts of expected growth or changes, or study any other event specific to the economy of a particular region and how it will be impacted. The even will offer a short orientation of the software by IMPLAN's Radha Jagarlamudi, followed by a panel discussion of IMPLAN usage by MSU scholars from different departments.

MSU Library subscribes to the National Data Library (the regional economic data platform for the full US at the county level) and the economic impact tool for all of Michigan (MI counties and state total).

Access IMPLAN here. It requires free registration with your MSU email address. Also requires multifactor authentication using an authenticator app (i.e. Google Authenticator) or SMS text message using your cell phone.
