Soldiers of Production: Lansing and the Arsenal of Democracy
How did they do it? The “Miracle of Production” during World War II has more to do with the automobile industry at the time than any other. Lansing production was crucial to the war effort, but no scholarly history has covered has covered this “special” Mid-Michigan factory culture and the attitudes of labor and management during WWII.
