Field Guide Fling In-Person
Field guides help identify a species by characteristics such as colors, sizes, habitats and so on, but they often differ in how they present these features in order to tell one species from another. The publishing market has many types of field guides available, but how do you know which one suits your particular seeking style? The MSU Libraries has many types and styles of field guides to our natural populations, so please join us and Beal Botanical Garden to contrast and compare dozens of different field guides to Michigan and the Great Lakes region’s floras and faunas. Note that the works are from the Library’s circulating collection and can be checked out toward the end of our event.
