Over the past two years, the MSU Libraries and Media Preservation Unit have made accessible the majority of the WKAR Early Television Films Collection — around 250 films spanning agricultural education programs and home economics demonstrations to musical recitals and art history lessons.

Now that the grant to preserve these at-risk films has concluded, the team is excited to celebrate with a screening of some of their favorite clips, as well as a panel to speak about the project’s value. Tours of the Media Preservation Lab will also be available for those who are interested and light refreshments will be served.
