Launching "The Spirits": Introducing a Haunting New Holiday Read from Bonnie Jo Campbell with Professor Dawn Burns In-Person
Join the MSU Libraries in celebrating the release of “The Spirits,” the latest book by Michigan’s own award-winning Bonnie Jo Campbell! MSU Writing, Rhetoric, and Cultures Assistant Professor Dawn Burns joins Campbell for conversation about this contemporary retelling of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” featuring a chilling take on a heartening holiday story that unfolds in an isolated Michigan farmhouse. A perfect way to welcome in the spooky season ahead of the forthcoming holidays, this event will also feature opportunities for Q&A and a chance to get your book autographed by a best-selling author.
Generously co-sponsored by the Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Cultures, a select number of copies of “The Spirits” will be available for FREE to registrants at the event on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Refreshments will also be provided.
