Game Studies Guild Explores the Rovi Gaming Collection (Live Twitch Stream) In-Person

WEEKLY LIVE-STREAMED LET’S PLAY EVENTS
Every Friday, May 10–August 16 • 11:30 am–1:30 pm
Broadcast from MSU Libraries’ Video Game Labs* to twitch.tv/gsgmsu

The Game Studies Guild reads articles, plays video games, and meets for in-depth discussion of issues in game development and gaming communities. This summer, members will take a step back to explore the Rovi Gaming Collection more broadly.

Join Jonah each Friday for an interactive, package-to-pixels plunge into a different title from the Rovi Gaming Collection, and join others at various times throughout the season! From MSU Libraries’ Video Game Labs to your screen, via Twitch, we will unpack and play with a critical eye. Will old classics hold up, or will new problems emerge under a modern social lens? Do technological advances offer more meaningful ways to play? How can video games support scholarship, anyway? Tune in and help us find out!

Viewers are encouraged to get involved in real time through Twitch chat, and to explore games themselves at the Main Library Digital and Multimedia Center.

*NOTE: These events are not intended for live attendance in the room, but for viewers to join online.
