Join Michigan State University Library’s Digital Preservation Working Group to discuss efforts in Michigan to create a state-wide preservation platform. Matt Schultz, Grand Valley State University’s Curation and Digital Preservation Librarian, will discuss his Statewide & Regional Stepping Stones to the National Digital Platform project. Stepping Stones is a one-year IMLS-funded project to explore the creation of a Michigan-wide digital preservation network. MSUL’s Digital Preservation working group will discuss our current digital preservation efforts and how this may align with the Stepping Stones project. There will be time set aside to discuss these efforts with Schultz and MSUL’s Digital Preservation team. We hope that any and all interested in learning more about digital preservation efforts locally or regionally will join us.
