Geocoding: Creating Data from Addresses In-Person
This workshop will discuss geocoding, which is the process of giving addresses spatial information so they can be used as a dataset in a GIS. Some concepts and challenges involved in geocoding will be discussed, example methods of geocoding will be presented, and there will be a small test set of data that we geocode in a few ways to explore the differences in available geocoding tools.
