SUMMARY:Teaching and Assessing Students in an AI World: Strategies for Today’s Educators
DESCRIPTION:This workshop explores how generative AI is reshaping both 
 teaching and assessment practices in higher education. Participants will 
 examine the capabilities and limitations of GenAI tools and will examine 
 how to adapt learning outcomes\, assignment formats\, and grading 
 strategies in response to AI capabilities. The session also highlights 
 practical approaches for using GenAI to support teaching and learning while 
 clarifying expectations for students.\n\nUpon completion of this learning 
 experience\, participants will be able to:\n\n\n	describe the implications 
 of generative AI tools for teaching\, learning\, and academic 
 integrity\n	identify strategies to adapt course learning outcomes\, 
 materials\, and assessments in response to AI capabilities\n	evaluate 
 assessment types and formats for vulnerability to AI misuse and explore 
 alternatives that promote authentic learning\n	develop clear expectations 
 and communication strategies around AI use in syllabi and assignments.\n
