Inclusive Pedagogy Topics: Feedback Practices

Inclusive Pedagogy Topics: Feedback Practices In-Person / Online

This 90-minute, hybrid workshop is designed to provide educators with the frameworks and resources needed to center inclusive feedback practices across disciplines. The event will be co-facilitated by both the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation and the Writing Center at Michigan State. During the session, we will overview the importance of inclusive feedback practices across disciplines. Educators will also be provided with pathways for more resources to take beyond this 90-minute session. Educators will have workshop time reflect on their own practices and create an action plan for revision to their practices for when they leave the workshop.

This event is intended for any educator at Michigan State University. It is designed for educators new to the conversation and experienced, as the work toward inclusivity is always on-going.

Upon completion of this learning experience, participants will be able to understand the principles of inclusive pedagogy. They will be able to:

  • Articulate the meaning and importance of inclusive feedback practices
  • Locate resources for inclusive feedback practices
  • Reflect on their own practices
  • Create an action plan for implementing more inclusive feedback practices
