SLXD: Mastering Your Course Gradebook

SLXD: Mastering Your Course Gradebook In-Person / Online

The course grade book can seem overwhelming and a nightmare for first-time users. This session will help you maneuver and master the gradebook so that you will become a pro.

We will walk through the setup of a grade book and highlight the features and settings of the grade book. Further, we will discuss the decisions you need to make regarding grading schemes as you set up your course gradebook. Finally, this session will highlight the benefits of using the gradebook for your course.

This presentation is intended for all MSU educators, particularly those who are interested in learning how to use D2L’s Gradebook functions effectively.

Upon completion of this learning experience participants will be able to:

  • Navigate and access the Gradebook tools in D2L
  • Apply various grading systems (such as points-based, weighted, or formula) using the D2L Gradebook
  • Create categories and items within the Gradebook
  • Export grades from Gradebook to different formats
